Let It Snow!

The House of Halpin was blessed with our first snowfall of the winter...finally...now that it is March! We enjoyed it so much!!

When O went to bed, it was barely flurry-ing. By 10:30 or so it was really coming down, beautiful huge, sticky flakes. The weather report said that the temp was expected to rise through the night, melting the snow by morning. Oh, I did not want Owie to miss the only snow of the year! He would be so disappointed! So I convinced Jeremy that it would not be too harmful if we woke O up to take a peak. I crept into O's room and snuggled him awake. I whispered that we had an amazing surprise for him. Bundled up, we all three headed out onto the porch to catch some flakes. It was gorgeous, so still and quiet and peaceful. O was in awe, but also quite sleepy. After just a few minutes, he was ready to crawl back in his warm bed. I tucked him in and spooned him for a bit. What a sweet time we had being grateful for God's incredible creation.

Lo and behold, the snow was still with us when we woke up! We bundled up again and headed out to play, bright and early.

Our white frosted home

Noah was really unsure what to make of the snow at first. Add to that the fact that he was quite unhappy about the whole mitten/hat situation, and he was not that happy of a snowy camper.

Aaaahhh. Here's a bit of enthusiasm. Snow might be fun after all.

"Hmmmm. Is this stuff edible? I may be a fan after all!"

No-nos is outta here, heading for warmer climates.

Owie had so much fun! His joy and enthusiasm are contagious!

Looks like sweet Noah is healing nicely from his run-in with the CD tower. Poor guy!
