Fun with Bubbles

We have so much fun with our bubble maker!

Catch those bubbles!

Happy Half Birthday, Noah!

Noah is SIX months old! I can hardly believe it! He is growing up way too fast!
At the doctor this week (We've got the croup!) he weighed 18 pounds, 6 ounces. We don't get the length or percentages until next week at our official 6 month visit.
Big blue eyes. I hope they stay blue!

He is no longer content to recline. He is constantly trying to pull to a sit.

Toes for dessert after cereal

Even croup-y he can manage the sweetest expressions

Blowing raspberries in his cubby. This is sitting up training. He fits just perfectly and enjoys hanging out in there.

Such determination to grab that toy!

Hands On

These Boys are all sorts of touchy feely lovey. I love that they are so affectionate!

Cookie Making

All ready to make choco chip cookies with Mommy
(We had to wash the cookie spoon after this picture!)

Looks like Noah wants his turn holding the cookie spoon!
He's saying (subliminally), "Come on, Brother! Just let me hold it for a second!"
Owen's (actual, out loud) response: "O want it, Noah!"
I'm sure there will be millions of banterings that sound just like this in my lifetime.

It is finally discovered that the dough might be more interesting than the spoon.
"Hmm. What is this yummy-looking stuff?"

Noah decides to dive on in and explore further

(Can you tell poor Owie is teething horribly?)

Noah is not shy! He gets a lip on the bowl. We had to back up that Bumbo just a bit!

A Hot, Sticky, Muddy Day at the Arbo

The Boys and I headed to the Arboretum for some fun this morning. We enjoyed our time with friends Katy and new baby Travis, but it was one hot, sticky, muddy day!

Owen cooled off in the fountain
Crocs are the best for potential water play!

A Day with the Dads

I am so overwhelmingly blessed to have such incredible men in my life! It does not seem fitting to have only one day a year to officially celebrate them. Hopefully they feel loved on much more often than that!

My Dad AKA Da AKA Gwamps. One of my favorite walking partners. The guy who taught me to slow down and look at stuff, and is now teaching that to my Boys. The man who is never too tired to run one last race or too busy to hear one more story. The teacher that filled my head with Bible knowledge until it spilled over to take root in my heart, all the while living it out for me in his day-to-day life.
Lowell AKA Papa. A man right at home with his arms full of babies (a good thing with eight grandkids four years old and younger!). The best bear-hugger ever! The guy who tells it like it is but with much love and compassion. A father-in-law that has welcomed me whole-heartedly into the family and makes me feel so loved. A man who is completely generous, not only with his possessions, but even more so with his time, skills, affection, and advice.

My sweet Jeremy. What a treasure you are to me! You love me so well and are an amazing father. It is an honor to live life by your side and to have the privilege of submitting to your authority. One of my favorite things is to watch you interact with our sons. They reflect back to you the love you pour out on them.
You all three are loved so much!

The Boy Who Can Fly...and Swim

Jeremy and O tested out the water at Gigi and Papa's pool. I was amazed at how unafraid Owen was, already jumping to Daddy off the steps and allowing Daddy to toss him high into the air. He loved it!

More swimming pictures:

(Can you tell that O's lips are PURPLE from cold by this point? "Moe swimming pease, Daddy!")

Bites

Owen has a great new game! He collects a baby spoon from the silverware drawer and a plastic cup from his cup basket (bowls are too high for little people to reach), sits down and proceeds to feed Noah pretend cereal.
"Open up mouth for c-real, No-nos!"

Noah, being always willing to eat, complies.

What a farce! There is no cereal on that spoon! I don't think Noah has entered the world of make-believe quite yet.

Getting the Hang

"Uh-oh! I seem to have found myself folded completely in half!"
"Oh, so much better. I must have abs of steel to upright myself!"

(Notice Noah is hard at work doing his chore. He faithfully waters the carpet all throughout the day to keep it nice and hydrated.)

"Hey, I'm getting the hang of this!"

What a "Rebel"!

What a blessing! Jeremy and I stumbled upon a deal that could not be refused: a digital Canon Rebel at 60% off!! I am now the very delighted owner of the coveted Canon Rebel! I am so excited and have been taking pictures like crazy.

Here's a bit if what's been going on with us:

Broken

Alas.
My camera is broken,
absolutely dead.
I am missing so many picturesque moments!
Ex: Noah learned to chew on his chubby toes and Owen can now climb higher on the jungle gym at the park than ever before! Hopefully we can diagnose a problem and get it fixed this weekend.
Otherwise...new camera for Mommy?!
