Silhouettes

For several months now, the idea to make silhouettes of the boys has been rolling around in the back of my mind. I would love to capture their precious profiles, complete with O's curls and Nosy's still baby chubby cheeks. Taking pictures of our shadows has motivated me even more.

I just am not quite sure how to proceed. Have any of you ever made silhouettes of your kids?

I'm so sorry...I just remembered that you had emailed about this a long time ago. I have no experience w/ them, although I think they're super neat. The shadow pics are a fun idea to.
Let me know if you find any great tips!

Rachel, If you can get the boys to sit still, it is fairly easy to do silhouettes. Sit them in a chair close to a wall(preferably with something on to watch and keep their interest). Turn out all the lights except for one bright lamp to the side of them. Tape paper to the wall and then just trace around their shadow. I did this when I was little and if I remember correctly, they turned out pretty good.
Love keeping up with you on the blog. Wish you and mine here could get together.

I had a friend who just sat them next to a wall and took their picture. Printed it out as big as she wanted it and then traced that, but I think tracing the shadow would be easier if they will sit still. Good luck!
