Celebrating Oliver

Oliver? Turning three? How do the years pass by so quickly? It seems like just yesterday Owie and I anxiously awaited his arrival in the Labor and Delivery waiting room. When the time was right, we tiptoed in to Aunt Erica's room to take a peek at our beautiful new family member. And now the boy is three! We celebrated Oliver by doing some of his very favorite things.

A group of great friends explored the Science Museum all morning and into the afternoon. We played and learned and ran and ate...

...and spent quite awhile making Oliver's favorite bubbles.

Owen and Hayden were all about dressing the part today. First "worker men,"

and a little later, astronauts inspecting great stuff in their microscopes.

Birthday lunch

Mommy gets a birthday squeeze.

It was a gorgeous day outside, so we headed out back to explore.
Hayden is a great tree-climber!

Evan is the spitting image of his Daddy. I have never seen him look so much like Steve, handsome little guy!

Hugs between buds

Run, guys! Run!

Nosy, always on the lookout for a "kwerl" (squirrel) to chase.

After long naps, the whole fam (except for poor, traveling Rob who was experiencing Europe!) met at McDonald's for a yummy supper.

Blowing out the candles.

Happy, happy birthday Oliver! We love you!
