Breck Day 5: Sail Away, Sail Away, Sail Away

Tio Rico hauled his new sailboat all the way to Colorado from Iowa. We were all thrilled to have a brand new boat at our disposal (and free to us!) and a very willing and eager captain to tour us around the lake. Tuesday morning was gorgeous and crisp...perfect weather for a sail!

It was only after boarding that I realized exactly what kind of sailboat this was. (Please forgive my complete lack of knowledge concerning all things boatish.) As the passengers, we could either sit on a very sturdy tarp-like thing that skimmed the water (thus completely soaking one's rear end) or perch precariously on the edge of the boat and risk toppling in. I was pretty worried for the Boys at first, but they did not seem phased one bit. Once we got going, all concerns about wetness were forgotten and we all just soaked in the view and enjoyed the ride. There is nothing quite like being out on a mountain-top lake with the wind in your hair and smiles on your faces.

Thanks for the GREAT time, Uncle Rick!!

Exploring the park a bit while we dried off.
