Libby and Erin brought the most wonderful crafts to occupy the older kids when the afternoons got long but supper was still a ways off. My favorite craft was puppet-making with a kit by Martha Stewart. These were seriously the cutest puppets I have ever seen and they sparked some sweet imaginative play. Sadly, I did not have my camera handy.
This day, they strung beads to make patriotic bracelets. Even the adults dove in for some fun!
