First Snow

Just after the sun set, we heard a familiar, wonderful tapping at our window. Could it really be? I wrapped the Boys up like burritos in flannel quilts, and all four of us stood in our entry way watching the sleet/snow fall. It is always awesome and exciting. We figured it would be melted by morning.

But when the sun came up, a thrilled Owie discovered some ice left on our patio bench. I gave him permission to play with the beautiful stuff. He raced right to the kitchen for a spoon? His brain is a curious thing.

Next he asked for a tupperware container. Ahhh. His plan is becoming clearer to this rather slow Mommy.

He scooped up as much of the snow as he could and saved it in his tupperware. Somehow, the whole container later ended up in his tent in the playroom. He told me he was busy melting it to feed to the poinsettia when it was all water. He is such a funny guy!
