What a wonderful time of year we are embarking upon. Not only do we get to celebrate the birth of our Saviour and God's unmatched generosity in sharing Him with mankind, but there are so many family memories to be made. To make it even more fun, Owen is at the perfect age. His awe and wonder at all things Christmas is contagious!
We have so many exciting things planned to lead up to Jesus' Birthday. The first was a trip with my family to The Gaylord Texan to see all their Christmas glory.
We can't take in all the splendor on an empty stomach! A quick stop at The California Pizza Kitchen did the trick!
Owen kept exclaiming, "This is quite a sight!"
It surely was a sight! The 1.2 million twinkling lights were amazingly beautiful.
O had the seat of honor: on Gramps's or Daddy's shoulders at all times so he could absorb as much as possible.
What a treat! We stopped at a sidewalk cafe in the Gaylord for dessert: hot chocolate, strawberry ice cream and chocolate chip cookies all in one night!
O had a sugar high like no other...but it was worth it to watch his excitement.
