Boys and their Boxes

Just what you've always wanted: more pictures of our DMA adventure. But stick with me. Maybe you'll find this as amusing as I do.

In one of the children's rooms at the DMA there are stacks of cardboard boxes, all different sizes and shapes. I assume the kids are supposed to create 3D artistic sculptures with them. Not our Boys though! Where there are boxes, these guys envision tall, tall stacks just begging to be knocked over.

There seems to be a bit of a pecking order as to who exactly is allowed to place a block on the top of the tower. Here Noah is patiently observing a bunch of (rather tough) stacking boys we don't know, while scheming a plan for breaking into the block-building clique.

He did it! Nosy finally mustered up his bravery and joined all these boys we don't know in the building fun. (I am so proud of his boldness. I would have kept watching from a distance and missed out on all the fun. I so admire that about Nosy!)

It took no time at all for this to begin happening.

Preston figured out there was some fun to be had and joined forces with Noah. I love both of their faces in this picture!

Pictured are all four of our Boys, arms and legs kicking and karate chopping various block towers.

The Halpins team up.

Preston and Nosy have similar building strategies: stack up just barely enough to get a good crash.

O and Grant, however, build and build, higher and higher, until even, on tippy toes, they can't reach the top any longer. Then they drag stools over and stack even more blocks until finally they are satisfied. CRASH!

I don't think Owie and Grant realize that Baby Bro has snuck up behind their tower and is about bring all their hard work tumbling down.

He knows he is discovered! Silly Boy. He left their tower alone.
