Owen had so much fun hiccuping with Yaya! Remember the days when simple bodily functions were reason enough to laugh hysterically? Every time he hiccuped, he would fling himself backward to be tickled by Yaya. Fun times! (By the way...Owie prefers to be pantsless these days. Is he picking up the habits of his cousin appropriately named "Clayton No-Pants"?)

Soaking Up Some Sun with Gramps
Gramps, recently called "Da" by Owie (Who knows why?), had time for a picnic at the Arboretum with us this week. We had so much fun!
Feeding the fish left-over peanut butter sandwiches. Notice the similar facial expressions. Such concentration!

Soaking in the Sun
We Are "Picture People"
What an adventure we had this week! I have been wanting some good quality professional pictures of the Boys. So Monday, we packed up everything we could possibly need for a photo shoot (freshly starched and ironed outfits, blankets, props, attention-capturing toys to coax smiles out of a bored two year old) and head to the Picture People. Unfortunately, Noah had a different agenda. One thing I have learned about Noah: His agenda is priority! He squalled for the entire 45 minutes we attempted to take photos. Never fear! I will not be discouraged! We booked an appointment for the following morning. Alas, it is a repeat of the day before! It is as if Noah has an aversion to the photo studio! He was perfectly content and gorgeous in his precious outfit (Jeremy's coming home from the hospital outfit circa 1976) until my feet crossed the threshold into the studio. Screamimg, screaming, and even shriller screaming followed. Poor Owie was beginning to wonder if he should be fearing the picture-taking process for some reason since it so upset Brother. I was starting to feel very frustrated, but I decided to have one more go at it. I was bound and determined to record this moment in history. We made yet another appointment for after the Boys had napped. The third time was a charm! Owen was on his best behavior, and Noah was content to be positioned and propped up and loved on by O. It was well worth the trial! The pictures are beautiful!
Yesterday with Yaya
The three of us shared a beautiful day with Yaya at Firewheel Town Center.
Noah chillin' with Yaya at the Carter's store so Mommy could shop in peace. It's so much easier to spend Daddy's money when the babies are otherwise occupied!
Owie's new passion: throwing "mo-ney" in the fountain. "Mo Mo-ney, Mommy?!" Too bad Mommy's wallet is not bottomless!
Owen could spend hours sorting small things, dispersing them into different bowls. Yesterday he was sorting banana puffs left over from his infancy. They were mighty fun since he could sample along the way. "Mommy, EAT!"
Introducing "Scooter the Wonderful"
Noah is a whopping two months old already! I can't even believe it! Every day is such a privilege as I get to know more facets of this big personality stuck in a tiny body. I fall more in love with this delightful, vocal, bright-eyed little boy every day. At his doctor's appointment today he weighed in at 12 pounds, 5 ounces (75%) and is 24 inches (90%) long! I am not used to having a full-sized baby. It is so much fun to kiss on chubby thighs and pinch butter-soft cheeks (both types of cheeks!). He is such a delight!
3:00am smiles for Mommy, my reward for getting up in the middle of the night. It is 100% worth every minute of tiredness for those priceless grins!
Scooter does not enjoy Mommy's Photo Studio as much as Mommy does. He very effectively voices his opinions!
Owen takes great pride in comforting "No-ah" (he is Be-be no more) these days. He selflessly shares his beloved paci, and kisses abound between Brothers.
What a blessing, my Wonderful Boy

My Not-So-Tiny Youngest Son
Noah, at 8 weeks old, is no longer my tiny Boy. He has gotten so chubby and long. His eyes have gotten so much more focused and wise-looking. He has smiled a few times, but still only at Dad. Not one grin for the woman who housed him for 9 months or who cuddles him at all hours of the night when he is starving or lonely.
The "head bump." This is the true sign of brotherly acceptance. Noah gets it often, but always with great tenderness. No "hard" bumps for Be-be.

A First Time to Bumbo
We tried out our very cool Bumbo seat for the first time today. Noah is not quite a proficient Bumbo-er yet. His head, full of a super-sized brain, is just so very heavy. We finally propped his head a little and it worked out just fine. He communicated to me (by spitting up down my sleeve) that he enjoyed his time in the Bumbo and will practice until he can Bumbo well.

"O...Be-be" (with arms out-stretched)
Translation: "Can O please hold the baby?" Owen loves to love on Noah and requests to hold him often. After a few minutes of holding Noah this morning while I shot a couple of photos, he very adamantly declared, "Done!" I put down my camera and attempted to remove Noah from his grasp. "No! Mo Be-be!" He wasn't done holding Noah; he was done having his picture taken. Silly Boy! He kept holding Noah for 15 more minutes, whispering sweet nothings to him all the while. (It is amazing how much I can get done in 15 minutes when both kiddos are occupied and happy and sitting STILL on the couch!)
Dining with the Ducks
Let me introduce you to my wonderful, dear friend Elisabet. She has been one of my very best friends since Sophmore year at Mary Hardin-Baylor. We are so blessed to have her living just a mile down the road from us! One of my favorite things to do is spend an afternoon with Elis. The time flies by all too quickly, but we are so fortunate to get to see her often. Yesterday, we all headed off to feed the ducks at a near-by pond. What a gorgeous day!
After awhile, I looked over and Owie was very slowly and discretely chewing. Hmmm. I observed him from a distance and noticed he was partaking of some bits of bread himself! A chunk for him. A chunk for "quack, quack." Pretty funny!
Winter Wonderland
These are shots from last week's beautiful snowfall. Let me explain the get-up...O has been on antibiotics for an ear infection which in turn gave him a pretty messy diaper issue, if you know what I mean. (Yuck!) This particualr afternoon, we had already dirtied two outfits, so I resorted to pajamas. Plus, it kept him nice and cozy on such a dreary day. Mid-afternoon, the huge, gorgeous flakes started to drift down from the sky. We just had to get outside to enjoy the snow! Alas, O's tennies would not fit over his footie pj's. So on went Mom's warmest, most fuzzy socks and hand-me-down slippers from Ally and Maddie. Those were some toasty toes! He was really concerned about the socks getting wet, though. He knew there was something not quite right about that!
